Calhoun Skulk
Roles:
Chasers: The Chasers are the foxes responsible for providing food to the skulk. They are selected at a young age, and trained specially in the skills of hunting in order to provide for the skulk.
Wardens: The Wardens are trained in the skills of defending the skulk, and are also chosen from a young age
Mentors: The foxes responsible for teaching the pups in the skill they are chosen to learn
The Trials:
~All pups, after reaching a certain age must complete a series of trials. These determine what their role will be in the skulk, if they receive one.
~if the pup does not pass the trials they are deemed unworthy of caring for their skulk, and unfit to care for a mate, and they are sent into exile to live as a loner.
Skulk Life:
The skulk dwells in the moorland, the foxes live peacefully and happily abiding by their system. They have a trial every time a young fox reaches adolescence. If the fox fails the trial the wardens will ensure they do not rejoin the skulk. If the young fox passes he may choose a mate, and his role in the skulk is set for life.
